FDP on Advances in Machine Learning for Data Analysis @MSCBU

 



The Department of Computer Science at Maharaja Sriram Chandra Bhanja Deo University organized a faculty development programme titled "Advances in Machine Learning for Data Analytics." on 31st May, 2023. The programme was inaugurated by Professor Santosh Kumar Tripathy, the Vice Chancellor of the university. During his address, Professor Tripathy commended the participation of teachers from all corners of the country and emphasized the importance of the conference.

The inaugural ceremony was presided over by Professor Pramod Kumar Satapathy, the Chairman of the PG Council. In his speech, he emphasized the need for qualitative development of teachers and expressed his hope that the programme would facilitate higher research for the participants. Professor S. N. Dehury, the Head of the Computer Science Department at FM University, graced the event as the keynote speaker. He delivered a talk on machine learning, highlighting the advantages of data analytics.

Professor H. N. Thatoi, the Coordinator of the Institutional Development Plan, expressed his optimism regarding the programme's usefulness and its potential to foster intellectual growth among the teachers. Professor M. Himabindu, the Director of IQAC, underscored the significance of implementing machine learning effectively and ensuring its quality. Dr. Janmenjay Nayak, Assistant Professor of Computer Science, conducted the stage proceedings as the programme coordinator, while Asst. Professor Dr. Sharmila Subudhi offered vote of thanks.

More than 40 faculty members participated in this week-long programme. The event management received substantial support from Dr. Parthasarathy Mishra and Dr. Shanti Swarup Basa from the Department of Computer Science, along with the students. In the upcoming days, renowned experts from both within and outside the state are scheduled to join as resource persons, imparting their knowledge and providing training to the participants.

National Workshop on Climate Change: Its Impact on Bioversity @MSCBU

 


A two-day national workshop titled 'Impact of Climate Change on Biodiversity.' was inaugurated on Monday, 29th May 2023 at the Department of Botany, Maharaja Sriram Chandra Bhanja Deo University. The workshop was inaugurated by Vice Chancellor Prof. Santosh Kumar Tripathy, who served as the Chief Guest. In his address, Prof. Tripathy emphasized the necessity of discussing climate change in the current situation and commended the initiative to organize the workshop. The meeting was presided over by Chairman PG Council Prof. Pramod Kumar Satapathy.

Dr. Ashok Kanti Sanyal, Former Director of Biological Survey, Government of India, participated as the keynote speaker and delivered a summary speech on the workshop's significance and the need to address climate change in the current context. Prof. Hrudaynath Thatoi, Coordinator of the University's Institutional Development Programme, shed light on the changes in our way of life resulting from climate change. Dr. Kamal Lochan Barik, Head of the Botany department, introduced the guest speaker, while Assistant Professor Dr. Bishnupriya Hansda expressed gratitude with a vote of thanks. Assistant Professor Dr. Sudam Charan Sahu assisted in managing the program.

The workshop features distinguished resource persons, including Dr. Shaikat Kumar Basu, PFS Research Executive Director at the University of Lethbridge, Canada; Dr. Arnesa Guha, Academic Head of S.E.R.E., Calcutta; Dr. Tanmay Rudra, Research Director at IGTMS University, Arunachal Pradesh; Dr. Dara Singh Gupta, Professor at the Department of Botany, Kohlan University, Jharkhand; and Dr. Mrinalakanti Dey, Scientist at the Zoological Survey of India, Calcutta. They are scheduled to share their expertise and knowledge during the workshop.

The Department of Chemistry at Maharaja Sriram Chandra Bhanja Deo University organized an enriching week-long Faculty Development Programme on Monday, 29th May 2023. The programme was inaugurated by the esteemed Vice Chancellor, Prof. Santosh Kumar Tripathy, who graced the event as the chief guest. In his opening remarks, he commended the programme and highlighted its potential for fostering the high-quality development of teachers. Chairman PG Council Prof. Pramod Kumar Satapathy presided over the event. Prof. Nigamananda Das from the Department of Chemistry at Utkal University joined as the keynote speaker. Prof. Das emphasized the significance of practical classes within the programme, offering valuable insights to the participants. Another esteemed guest, Prof. H. N. Thatoi, Coordinator of Institutional Development Plan, honored the occasion and acclaimed the Department of Chemistry as the university's finest. The event featured the valuable perspective of Prof. M. Himabindu, the IQAC Director, who shared her views on computational chemistry. Dr. Rajesh Kumar Singh, an Associate Professor and Programme Coordinator, extended a warm welcome to the guests and delivered an engaging opening address. Departmental Assistant Professor and Co-coordinator Dr. Ashish Kumar Jena expressed gratitude and proposed the vote of thanks.

National Seminar on Innovations in Functional Materials @MSCBU

 



A national seminar titled 'Innovations in Functional Materials' was inaugurated on Monday, May 29th, 2023, at the Department of Physics, Maharaja Sriram Chandra Bhanja Deo University. The seminar was sponsored by the World Bank under the Institutional Development Programme of the Odisha Higher Education Programme for Excellence and Equity. The seminar was inaugurated by Vice Chancellor Prof. Santosh Kumar Tripathy, who attended the event as the chief guest and stated that future research has the potential to discover the relevance of materials that are obsolete in today's era. He further mentioned that through such seminars, not only knowledge exchange occurs but also a platform is provided for the exchange of our customs and cultures. The event was presided over by Chairman PG Council Prof. Pramod Kumar Satapathy. Professor Partha Roy Choudhury from IIT Kharagpur joined as the keynote speaker and, in his speech, encouraged the participants to consider such seminars as an opportunity to exchange knowledge, research results, research facilities, etc., and make friends among themselves. He also suggested making it a habit to read at least one research paper every week. The Coordinator of the Institutional Development Programme, Prof. Hrudaynath Thatoi, expressed his gratitude to the Department of Physics of the University for creating a research atmosphere through such a well-organized seminar. The Convener of the seminar and Professor of the Physics Department, Susmita Kar, delivered the welcome speech. The Organizing Secretary of the seminar, Associate Professor Dr. Indrajit Naik, introduced the guests, while the co-Organizing Secretary, Associate Professor Dr. Pravanjan Mallik, proposed the vote of thanks. Departmental Associate Professor Dr. Priyadarsini Sanghammitra Sahu and Assistant Professor Dr. Jyotiranjan Sahu, along with Lab Assistant Srikrushna Mohanto, contributed to the management of the event. National Seminar on Frontiers in Chemical Research @MSCBU

 


A national seminar was inaugurated on the occasion of the birth centenary of renowned chemist Professor Mahendra Kumar Raut at the Department of Chemistry, Maharaja Sriram Chandra Bhanja Deo University. The seminar was sponsored by the World Bank under the Institutional Development Programme of the Odisha Higher Education Programme for Excellence and Equity. The seminar was inaugurated by Vice Chancellor Prof. Santosh Kumar Tripathy, who, in his speech, discussed the relevance of chemistry in life. The meeting was presided over by Chairman PG Council Prof. Pramod Kumar Satapathy. Prof. Kulamani Parida, Director of the Department of Nano Science and Nano Technology at SOA University, joined as the keynote speaker and delivered a speech on the theme of the seminar, 'Frontiers in Chemical Research,' and referred to the seminar as a valuable initiative. President of Odisha Chemical Society Dr. Rupashree Ragini Das and editor Dr. Debasish Mohanty spoke about the role and objectives of the Odisha Chemical Society. Head of the Chemistry Department and convener of the seminar, Dr. Lingaraj Behera, introduced the guests and delivered the welcome address. FDP on Research Methodology in Social Sciences by Dept. of ATS

 



A faculty development programme on 'Research Methodology in Social Sciences' was organized by the Department of Anthropology and Tribal Studies at Maharaja Sriram Chandra Bhanja Deo University on May 27th, 2023. The event was inaugurated by Vice Chancellor Prof. Santosh Kumar Tripathy. The programme was presided over by Chairman PG Council Prof. Pramod Kumar Satapathy. IDP Coordinator Prof. Hrudaynath Thatoi was the guest of honor, and Prof. Shubha Roy was the chief speaker. Dr. Basanta Kumar Mohanta, the Head of the ATS department, was the coordinator of the program. Additionally, Prof. Subir Maniya of West Bengal State University and Professor of Arts Devendra Biswal of Utkal University joined as speakers.

On this occasion, Dr. Basanta Kumar Mohanto, the Head of the Department of Anthropology and Tribal Studies, expressed his enthusiasm about the success of the programme. He mentioned that faculty members from MSCB University, FM University, Utkal University, Dharinidhar University, and Sindhu Kanhu Murmu University of West Bengal participated in this programme. Dr. Monali Goswami, Associate Professor of Anthropology and Tribal Studies, offered a vote of thanks. A total of 44 participants took part in this five-day faculty development programme. Asst. Cultural Fest 2023 @MSCBU

 




The Cultural Fest of Maharaja Sriram Chandra Bhanja Deo University took place on May 26, 2023, under the patronage of Chairman PG Council, Prof. Pramod Kumar Satapathy. The event was graced by the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Santosh Kumar Tripathy as the Chief Guest, who delivered an inspiring speech highlighting the importance of creativity and student life on campus. Dr. Sangram Mohanty, a renowned lyricist from Mayurbhaj, was the distinguished guest of honor. In his speech, he emphasized the significance of self-identity and the unique qualities possessed by every individual. The University honored Dr. Mohanty with D.Litt.

Responding to Dr. Mohanty's request, Vice-Chancellor Prof. Tripathy announced the commencement of a certificate course on "Mayurbhanj Chhau" this year. Shishakratna Sri Punchandra Bugudei, the President of the Mayurbhanj Citizen Forum, attended as the Chief Speaker and delivered moral advice to the students and discussing their role in society. Dr. Priyadarshini Sanghamitra Sahu, the Coordinator of Cultural Affairs and Associate Professor of Physics, presented the annual report and expressed gratitude on behalf of the university. The program commenced with the singing of the University Anthem.

Outstanding students who excelled in literary and cultural competitions were awarded trophies and certificates by the esteemed guests. The university's annual magazine, 'Banani,' was unveiled by the guests, and Dr. Mohanty generously donated a few books to the Vice-Chancellor for the university library. Vice-Chancellor Prof. Tripathy felicitated Chief Speaker Sri Purnachandra Bugudei, and in return, Mr. Bugudei honored the Vice-Chancellor. The students then presented captivating cultural performances, including solo dances, musical renditions, and group dances.

The stage proceedings were skillfully managed by Dr. Cuckoo Mahapatra, Assistant Professor of the Zoology Department, and Dr. Bishnupriya Hansda, Assistant Professor of the Botany Department. The event witnessed the enthusiastic participation of the university's teaching faculty, non-teaching staff, and students.

FDP on 'Phenomena in Physics: How Things Work!' @MSCBU

 


The Department of Physics at Maharaja Sriram Chandra Bhanja Deo University organized a week-long Faculty Development Programme which was inaugurated on 24th May 2023. Vice-Chancellor Prof. Santosh Kumar Tripathy graced the event as the chief guest for the programme titled 'Phenomena in Physics: How Things Work!'. Prof. Tripathy lauded the significance of skill development programmes and emphasized the importance of teachers transforming chances into choices. He highlighted that in today's era, there is no substitute for learning even for a teacher and those who are lifelong learners are successful individuals. He asserted that such training programmes provide a platform for teachers to enhance their teaching styles, presentation skills, and expand their knowledge base.

Chairman PG Council Prof. Pramod Kumar Satapathy presided over the inaugural ceremony, while IQAC Director Prof. M. Himabindu shed light on the role of physics in understanding the natural processes. Professor Naresh Chandra Mishra, renowned physicist from Utkal University, participated as the keynote speaker and encouraged faculty members to adopt a questioning approach and move beyond traditional beliefs. He emphasized that one of the main objectives of education is to pass on acquired knowledge to students and future generations.

Thatoi, the Coordinator of the IDP, expressed the opinion that the programme has fostered educational exchange between the University and faculty members from various colleges across Odisha. National Seminar on 'Climate Change: Issues and Challenges' @MSCBU


The Department of Economics at Maharaja Sriram Chandra Bhanja Deo University organized a two-day National Seminar titled 'Climate Change: Issues and Challenges'. The event was inaugurated by Vice-Chancellor Prof. Santosh Kumar Tripathy, who emphasized the significance of the topic in today's scenario. Chairman PG Council Prof. P. K. Satapathy presided over the inaugural meeting.

During the event, renowned speakers discussed the adverse effects of climate change and presented various strategies to mitigate its impact. Prof. Mrutyunjay Mishra, professor from Benaras Hindu University, delivered the keynote address, while Prof. Narayan Chandra Nayak from IIT Kharagpur served as the guest speaker.

Dr. Minati Mallik, the Head of the Department and Coordinator of the Seminar, highlighted the theme of the event, and Asst. Professor Dr. Kabita Kumari Sahu delivered the welcome speech. Prof. H. N. Thatoi, the IDP Coordinator, commended the well-designed program of the department. The guests were introduced by Associate Professor Dr. Aditya Kumar Patra, and a vote of thanks was offered by Asst. Professor Dr. Pratap Kumar Jena.

The discussions during the seminar were divided into five different sessions. In a panel session chaired by Prof. Sudhakar Patra of Berhampur University, Prof. Narayan Nayak, Dr. Mantu Mahlik, and Dr. Anubhab Patnaik from IIT Kharagpur discussed the impact of climate change on the energy and agriculture sectors. The remaining four sessions covered a total of 37 research papers on climate change and its effects on agriculture, health, natural resources, and the Indian economy.

National Seminar on 'Zoological Research for Sustainable Development' @MSCBU

 


The Department of Zoology at Maharaja Sriram Chandra Bhanja Deo University hosted a two-day seminar titled 'Zoological Research for Sustainable Development' on 23rd May 2023. This event, sponsored by the World Bank's Integrated Development Programme of Odisha Higher Education Programme for Excellence and Equity, was inaugurated by Vice Chancellor Prof. Santosh Kumar Tripathy, who served as the Chief Guest. In his address, Vice-Chancellor Prof. Tripathy highlighted the purpose of such seminars, emphasizing their role in creating, sharing, and distributing knowledge. He stressed the significance of every animal, bird, and insect in the animal kingdom, who helps in forecasting about the environment, maintaining ecological balance, and keeping the environment clean. The inaugural meeting was presided over by Chairman PG Council Prof. Pramod Kumar Satapathy. The keynote-speaker on the occasion Professor of Zoology Prof. Sushant Kumar Chakraborty from Vidyasagar University, in his speech, discussed the collective responsibility and the required joint efforts of three universities in the region: Vidyasagar University, Fakir Mohan University, and Maharaja Sriram Chandra Bhanja Deo University. He emphasized the need for cooperation and the consolidation of research findings with the assistance of local residents. The Guest of Honour, Professor H. N. Thatoi, the Coordinator of the Integrated Development Programme and Professor of the Department of Biotechnology, expressed gratitude to the Department of Zoology for providing an ideal platform for researchers through this seminar. Dr. Puspanjali Parida, the Convener and Head of the Department of Zoology, introduced the guest and delivered the welcome address. On this occasion, Vice Chancellor Prof. Tripathy unveiled an abstract book containing 98 research papers. Dr. Priyaranjan Debata, the organizing secretary of the seminar, offered a vote of thanks. Faculty members from the department Prof. Hemant Kumar Sahu, and Dr. Gargee Mohanty and Dr. Cuckoo Mahapatra made significant contributions to the organization of the seminar. The seminar was attended by faculty and research scholars from various colleges and universities.

National Seminar on 'Tribal Transformation and Development in Eastern India' @MSCBU


A two-day National Seminar on 'Tribal Transformation and Development in Eastern India' was successfully organized on 20-21 May 2023 by the Department of Anthropology and Tribal Studies (ATS) at Maharaja Sriram Chandra Bhanja Deo University. The event was inaugurated by Vice Chancellor Prof. Santosh Kumar Tripathy, Chairman PG Council Prof. Pramod Kumar Satapthy, IDP Coordinator Prof. H. N. Thatoi, Keynote-Speaker Prof. Jagannath Das, and HoD of Department of ATS Dr. Basanta Kumar Mohanta.

Expressing his gratitude, Vice-Chancellor Prof. Tripathy commended the Department of ATS for hosting the program. Prof. Jagannath Das, the Keynote Speaker, provided valuable insights into tribal development and the ongoing changes in the Similipal region. He also drew attention to the unique aspects of tribal change and development, citing the example of North East India. As a gesture, Prof. Das presented his research book to the Vice Chancellor. Dr. Laxman Kumar Sahu, the Organizing Secretary of the Seminar and Assistant Professor of ATS, called for the success of the event.

During the seminar presentations, Prof. Gautam Kumar Bera emphasized the importance of mental and moral development among the masses, supporting his points with illustrative examples. Prof. Dipendra Chatterjee, Anthropology Professor from Calcutta University, delved into gene polymorphism, while Prof. Arnav Ghosh, Professor from Viswabharati University, shed light on childhood obesity in Southeast India.

The closing ceremony included the screening of two short documentaries. The first, titled 'Beni Puchul,' and the second, a biographical film about the legendary Indian anthropologist Dr. Biraja Shankar Guha, were prepared by Dr. Naba Kumar Dwari. Prof. Pramod Kumar Satapathy, Chairman of the PG Council, declared the program a success during the closing ceremony and noted the participation of attendees from Odisha, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, West Bengal, and Gujarat. The seminar attracted more than 75 participants, with prominent attendees such as Prof. Susmita Kar, M. Himabindu, and Puspanjali Parida. Key speakers in various fields included Dr. Naba Kumar Dwari, Dr. Arnab Ghosh, Pushpa Patra, and Lipika Behera, while the seminar was effectively conducted with the assistance of Associate Professor Dr. Monali Goswami, Assistant Professor Dr. Priyanka Das, and Dr. Bhubaneswar from the ATS Department.

FDP on 'Plant Taxonomy & Biodiversity Conservation' @MSCBU

 

The Department of Botany at Maharaja Sriram Chandra Bhanja Deo University organized a Faculty Development Programme, which was inaugurated by Vice Chancellor Prof. Santosh Kumar Tripathy on 20th May 2023. Attending as the Chief Guest, Vice-Chancellor Prof. Tripathy highlighted the significance of faculty development programmes in enhancing the quality of teaching and inspiring students to achieve the highest level of competence.

The FDP, titled 'Plant Taxonomy and Biodiversity Conservation' commenced with Chairman PG Council Prof. Pramod Kumar Satapathy presiding over the inaugural meeting. Prof. Satapathy emphasized the interconnection between the plant world and the living world. Dr. Nabin Kumar Dhal, Chief Scientist of CSIR - Institute of Minerals & Materials Technology Bhubaneswar, joined as the keynote speaker for the programme. He delivered a speech on plant classification and underscored the importance of ecological balance.

Prof. H. N. Thatoi, the Coordinator of the Integrated Development Programme, discussed how the programme can enhance the competence of college faculty and staff. Dr. Kamal Lochan Barik, the HoD of the Botany department, introduced the guest and delivered the welcome address. The programme was managed by Asst. International Museum Day celebration @MSCBU

The Department of ATS at Maharaja Sriram Chandra Bhanja Deo University organized a seminar in celebration of International Museum Day. The event was graced by Chief Guest Prof. Pramod Kumar Satapathy, Chairman of the PG Council, and Chief Speaker Prof. Ashok Patnaik, Former Head of the History Department at Utkal University. Both speakers expressed their views on the significant contributions museums make to society.

Prior to the seminar, the esteemed guests visited 'Sanskrutikee,' the tribal and cultural museum of the University. During the meeting, Dr. Basant Kumar Mohanta, the Head of ATS, provided an overview of the purpose behind celebrating Museum Day. The vote of thanks was delivered by Dr. Laxman Kumar Sahu, Asst. Professor of ATS. The coordination of the event was carried out by Asst. Professor of ATS Dr. Priyanka Das and Dr. Bhubaneswar Sabar.


FDP on MATLAB and its applications by Dept. of Computer Application

 



The inauguration of a week-long Faculty Development Programme titled 'MATLAB and its Applications' took place on May 16, 2023, at Maharaja Sriram Chandra Bhanja Deo University. Organized by the Department of Computer Application and sponsored by the World Bank's Institutional Development Plan of Odisha Higher Education Programme for Excellence and Equity (OHEPEE), the programme was inaugurated Vice Chancellor Prof. Santosh Kumar Tripathy. In his speech, Vice Chancellor Prof. Tripathy emphasized the significance of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in today's age, acknowledging its current dominance over mankind. However, he also mentioned that natural intelligence will eventually surpass artificial intelligence, and to achieve that, the faculty members need to master newer technologies. As part of the event, Vice-Chancellor Prof. Tripathy virtually unveiled the training manual of the programme. IQAC Director Prof. M. Himabindu highlighted the usefulness of MATLAB, while Chairman PG Council Prof. Pramod Kumar Satapathy expressed his support for such programmes benefiting faculty members. The guest of honor, Prof. H. N. Thatoi, Coordinator of the Institutional Development Plan, delivered a speech discussing the success and effectiveness of the program. Dr. Jibendu Kumar Mantri, Head of the Department of Computer Application and Coordinator of the programme, delivered the welcome address and provided an overview of the programme. Distinguished resource persons, including Prof. Shubhankar Mishra from NISER, Bhubaneswar, Prof. Kapil Nagvansi from Gurughasidas Central University, Bilaspur, Dr. Satya Shubhashri Sen and Dr. Sumit Tetarave, Assistant Professors from KIIT University, Professor Pralaye Mitra from IIT Kharagpur, and Dr. Sujogya Mishra, Assistant Professor of OUTR, Bhubaneswar, along with the faculty members of the University Department of Computer Application, will provide training to the participants. The training programme saw a total of 50 participants from various colleges and universities in Odisha and other states.

FDP on 'Techniques of Data Analysis in Social Science' @MSCBU

 


The Department of Economics at Maharaja Sriram Chandra Bhanja Deo University organized a week-long Faculty Development Programme titled 'Techniques of Data Analysis in Social Sciences', which commenced on 15th May 2023. Sponsored by the Institutional Development Plan (IDP), the inaugural ceremony of the FDP witnessed Vice Chancellor Prof. Santosh Kumar Tripathy as the Chief Guest, who emphasized the integral role of data collection and application in our daily lives.

Chairman PG Council Prof. Pramod Kumar Satapathy presided over the occasion and advised the participating faculty members to apply their academic knowledge in continuous research. Prof. H. N. Thatoi, the IDP Coordinator, discussed the relevance and significance of such programmes. Dr. Minati Mallik, the Coordinator of the programme and HoD of Economics, provided a brief overview of the program's schedule during the welcome address. Dr. Kabita Kumari Sahu, the co-coordinator, expressed gratitude through a vote of thanks. The organization of the programme was supported by Associate Professor of Economics Dr. Aditya Kumar Patra and Assistant Professor Dr. Pratap Kumar Jena.

A total of 46 faculty members from various colleges and universities across the state are participating in this programme, contributing to its success and enriching the learning experience.

National Seminar on Frontiers in Wildlife and Biodiversity Conservation @MSCBU

 


The Department of Wildlife and Biodiversity Conservation at Maharaja Sriram Chandra Bhanja Deo University organized a two-day seminar titled 'Frontiers in Wildlife and Biodiversity Conservation.' The event was inaugurated by Vice Chancellor Prof. Santosh Kumar Tripathy as the chief guest, who emphasized the role of students as ambassadors in environmental protection. Prof. Tripathy highlighted various conservation methods and the importance of coexistence with animals. The inaugural function was presided over by Chairman PG Council Prof. Pramod Kumar Satapathy. Prof. Siba Prasad Parida, Head of Zoology at Centurion University, delivered a keynote address, providing insights into Odisha's wildlife and animal lifestyles. Dr. Samrat Gouda, Deputy Director of Similipal Tiger Project, presented on the conservation activities undertaken in the project. Prof. Hrudaynath Thatoi, Co-ordinator of the Integrated Development Programme and Professor of the Department of Biotechnology, discussed the biodiversity of Similipal and student involvement. The welcome address was given by Assistant Professor Shubhani Rath. On this occasion, Vice Chancellor Prof. Tripathy unveiled the book of abstracts. Dr. Debasish Nayak, the seminar's Organizing Secretary, offered vote of thanks, while faculty members Dr. Ashok Kumar Mallick, Dr. Srustidhar Rout, and Dr. Rabindra Kumar Mishra assisted in conducting the seminar. The event witnessed the participation of faculty members and research students from various colleges and universities.

FDP on 'Experimental Studies in Zoology under CBCS Curriculum' @MSCBU


A week-long Faculty Development Programme (FDP) titled 'Experimental Studies in Zoology under CBCS Curriculum' was inaugurated at MSCB University on May 11, 2023. The event organized by the Department of Zoology under IDP-OHEPEE was inaugurated by Vice Chancellor Professor Santosh Kumar Tripathy, who served as the Chief Guest, while Professor Pramod Kumar Satapathy, Chairman PG Council, presided over the inaugural function.

During his speech, Vice-Chancellor Professor Tripathy highlighted that many zoology laboratories across colleges have not been utilized due to lack of advanced training among teachers, and that several colleges lack laboratory infrastructure, which needs immediate attention. He also emphasized the need for a shift in attitude towards studying for the sake of acquiring knowledge rather than obtaining a certificate.

Professor Susmita Kar, Director of the College Development Council and a guest of honor, emphasized the importance of such programs in enhancing the intellectual development of teachers, likening it to the need for protein in the growth of children. Prof. Hrudaynath Thatoi, Co-ordinator of the Integrated Development Programme and Professor of Biotechnology Department, spoke about the success and effectiveness of the Integrated Development Programme in his speech.

Dr. Puspanjali Parida, Head of the Department of Zoology, welcomed the guests and provided an orientation of the programme. Dr. Gargi Mohanty, Assistant Professor of Zoology Department and Co-Coordinator of the Program, offered the vote of thanks. Vice-Chancellor Prof. Tripathy also unveiled the training manual of the programme during the event.

Fifty professors and faculty from various colleges and universities of Odisha have participated in the programme.
