NAAC Peer team Visit to MSCBU - Day 1

 

A five-member team of NAAC has visited the University on a three-day visit to assess and accreditate the academic and intellectual environment of Maharaja Sriram Chandra Bhanja Deo University. The visit is scheduled from 27th to 29th March, 2023. The team consisted of Dr.Arvind Kumar Dixit, Former Vice Chancellor of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar University, Agra as Chairman, Dr. Rakesh Ramteke, Professor at KBC North Maharashtra University, Maharashtra as Member Co-ordinator, Dr. Sanket Vij, Dean at Bhagat Phool Singh Mahila Vishwavidayalya, Haryana, Dr. Francis A. P. Arakal, Professor at Sri Shankaracharya University, Kerala and Dr. Bharat Ramanuj, Professor at Saurastra University, Gujarat as members. The arrival of the team in the morning was greeted with a traditional drum beat performed by volunteers of the University's National Social Service Scheme and students of the Santali department. The members garlanded the statue of Maharaja Sriram Chandra Bhanjadeo followed by a discussion with Vice-Chancellor Prof. Santosh Kumar Tripathy. Prof. Tripathy briefed the team about the University with a presentation. IQAC Director Prof. M. Himabindu presented details about the activities of the university with respect to seven criteria of NAAC. On day-1, the members visited various P.G. Departments of the University like Economics, Physics, Chemistry, Business Administration, Library and Information Science, Social Work, RSGIS, Yoga and Naturopathy, Santali, Anthropology and Tribal Studies, Biotechnology, Computer Applications, Zoology, Mathematics and Computer Science. They also interacted with the alumni, parents, students and principals of affiliated colleges. They further discussed with Chairman PG Council Prof. Pramod Kumar Satapathy, Registrar Mr. Sahadev Samadhia, Prof. Hemant Kumar Sahu of Department of Zoology, Prof. Hrudaynath Thatoi of Department of Biotechnology, Director of College Development Council Prof. Susmita Kar, DSW Director Dr. Aditya Kumar Patra, Controller of Examinations Prof. Laxmidhar Giri, Controller of Finance Mr. Sukadev Tarei and other departmental officials to review the academic infrastructure of the University. Students of the University, showcased a cultural programme at the University Auditorium in the evening.
