In a vibrant celebration of sustainable innovation and entrepreneurial spirit, Maharaja Sriram Chandra Bhanja University successfully hosted the MSCBU Connect Seminar Series session titled “Dream, Build, Inspire: From Green Campuses to Entrepreneurial Journeys” on April 25, 2026, under the PM-USHA initiative. The program, which commenced at 11:00 AM, aimed at integrating sustainable engineering practices with social innovation to inspire the next generation of future leaders. Convener Dr. Cuckoo Mahapatra warmly welcomed participants, followed by an insightful address from Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor Prof. Mahendra Kumar Mohanty, a PhD in Renewable Energy from IIT Delhi, who highlighted the development and significance of green campuses and encouraged students to utilize university laboratories for testing sustainable innovations, including solar energy projects. The highlight of the day was the motivational journey shared by renowned chemist and NISER Gold Medalist Dr. Sesha Kisan, Founder and CEO of Dr. Sesha Kisan Pharma Pvt. Ltd., who captivated the audience with his story—from grazing cattle in Sambalpur to advanced research in Germany—and practical insights on transforming academic research into viable commercial solutions through resilience and an entrepreneurial mindset. The session featured interactive discussions, case studies on green initiatives, and an engaging Q&A where students, researchers, and faculty actively participated. A vote of thanks was extended to PM-USHA Nodal Officer Prof. Indrajit Nayak for his support. The event, attended by faculty, students, and researchers from MSCB University and affiliated colleges, successfully enhanced awareness of renewable energy and social innovation, strengthened interdisciplinary collaboration, and established MSCBU Connect as a vital bridge between academic knowledge and real-world impact, leaving participants motivated to pursue impactful careers.
