A state level seminar to celebrate the 150th Birth anniversary of Sri Aurobindo was organized by Maharaja Sriram Chandra Bhanjadeo University on 26th April, 2022 in association with Mayurbhanj District Aurobindo Study Circle. The theme of the seminar was "Relevance of Sri Aurobindo in a Troubled World". Vice Chancellor Prof. Kishor Kumar Basa was the Chief Guest of the event. In his address Prof. Basa hailed Sri Aurobindo as a great Yogi for ultimate Hope and a revolutionary conceiver of spiritual consciousness. Dr. Saroj Kanta Mishra, retired Dy. Director of Agriculture, Govt. of Odisha in his online address opined that mankind shall not be destroyed despite all the odds that world is facing today and Sri Aurobindo's teachings will help one to attain self-consciousness. Prof. Pramoda Kumar Satapathy expressed hope that Aurobindo's philosophy can guide mankind in this troubled world. Among the other speakers Sri Bhagirathi Mahapatra, Zonal coordinator, Sri Aurobindo Study Circle Committee, Educationist Mr. Kalpataru Patra and Mr. Prabhat Nayak discussed the philosophy of Sri Aurobindo. Sri Prabodh Kumar Mahapatra, Managing Trustee, Mayurbhanj Sri Aurobindo Study Circle Trust presided over the meeting while Dr. Bichitranath Sahoo, Asst. Professor, Dept. of Odia offered the vote of thanks.
