A National Seminar was organized by the Post
Graduate Department of Hindi on 14thDecember 2021. The theme of the
seminar was "Necessity of Translation". Hon’ble Vice Chancellor Prof.
Kishor K. Basa, Chief Guest on this occasion emphasized that Research is a
noble component of the University and expressed hope that students will gain
knowledge to learn more from eminent researchers and intellectuals in such
platforms. Chief Speaker of the event, Dr. Rajendra Prasad Mishra, Former
Secretary General, World Hindi secretariat, Mauritius delivered
the keynote address. He narrated his valuable experience in translating 99
Odia books to Hindi. The meeting was chaired by Prof. A.K.Biswal, Chairman, PG
Council. Ms. Sasmita Pani, Department of Hindi, introduced the guest and Dr.
S.K.Sahu, Deputy Director, Self-financing courses coordinated the entire event.
