A Research Scholars' Conclave was held
at the University on 14th & 15th December 2021. Vice
Chancellor Prof. K.K.Basa, inaugurated the conclave as Chief guest and
addressed the scholars by emphasising that research is the soul of the
University and it should be people-centered for the betterment of society.
The poster exhibition was inaugurated by Dr. R.P.Mishra, former Secretary
General, World Hindi secretariat, Mauritius. The conclave was chaired by Prof.
A.K.Biswal, Chairman PG Council. Chief speaker of the conclave, Dr. Sanghamitra
Patnaik, Senior scientist at Krishi Vigyan Kendra in her keynote address,
discussed various aspects of agricultural research for human welfare. Shri S.Samadhia,
Registrar, in his address highlighted the various government incentives
for research. Dr. J.K.Mantri, Convener, tendered the welcome address and Dr. P.R.Debata
offered vote of thanks. On 2nd day of the conclave Dr. A.C.Panda of
Institute of Life Science, Bhubaneswar talked in detail about the circular RNA
and answered the queries of the participants. As many as 67 researchers of the
University showcased their research using posters and interacted with the
visitors of the conclave. The conclave was attended by the faculty members,
research scholars and students of the University and constituent colleges. The event
was coordinated by Dr. A.K.Jena, Dr. P.K.Jena, Dr. B.Hansda, Dr. P.K.Swain
& Mr. S.Bissoyi, Dr. S.Sahu, Dr. G.Dhangadamajhi and Dr. J.N.Beshra.
