A two-days Regional Samvaad - Tribal Conclave was held from 19th to 20th July 2022 at the Maharaja Sriram Chandra Bhanja Deo University. The event marks the birth anniversary of Bhagwaan Birsa Munda of Jharkhand. This programme was organized by Tata steel Foundation in collaboration with the University. Tata steel Foundation is working for development of communities around nearby area. Supporting ethnic group in practicing their culture, tradition and customs is one of the most important activities. This year's regional Samvaad programme was targeted for the district of Mayurbhanj towards preservation and promotion of tribal culture with participation and thought sharing of tribal leaders, youth leaders and women. As many as 117 participants from 8 districts attended this conclave and deliberated upon tribal health practices, livelihood, tribal identity, and education. The event was coordinated by Shri Ambika prasad Nanda, Head CSR Odisha, Tata Steel, Shri Jiren Xavier Topno, Head of Tribal Cultural Society, Jamshedpur, Dr. Jatindra Nath Beshra from the department of Santali and Shri Suvendu Satapathy from the department of Social work of MSCBU.
